House & Family History: Hamilton Palace is an enormous house named after Bermuda's capital. This massive house is larger than Buckingham Palace, on which it is modeled, and is purportedly the largest and most expensive private house built in Britain for a century. The House is in the Neoclassical style, complete with a cooper dome, and has walls three feet thick. Thus far, it has cost £40 million and it isn't complete yet (2002). It contains Louis XV furniture, a 600-foot-long art gallery, containing, among other pieces, a Holbein.
Garden & Outbuildings: A mausoleum has been built in the park.
