Notes: Baker was the dominant force in South African architecture for two decades, from 1892 until 1912. He designed the Union Buildings in Pretoria, South Africa, and, with Edwin Lutyens, was instrumental in designing New Delhi. His tomb is in Westminster Abbey. One of Baker's most famous commissions was the rebuilding of the Bank of England, which took place from 1921 until 1945.
