House & Family History: Great Treverran is noted for the giant engaged Ionic columns on the south facade that, very unusually, extend through the eaves and touch the roof. Daphne du Maurier's 1969 novel, "The House on the Strand," includes several references to Great Treverran. In the summer of 2021 the house, together with six acres, was listed for sale for £1.65 million.
