House & Family History: Grafton was an early 17th century E-plan house with three gables and pyramid-capped towers at each end. The Drawing Room was noted for its superb paneling and its animal-head plaster frieze. In 1883 the House was restored and enlarged for the Stanley family to the designs of John Birch. Grafton was demolished in 1963.
House Replaced By: A new Neoclassical style house was built in 2014.
