House & Family History: In 1992 Glympton Park was purchased for £8 million by Prince Bandar bin Sultan, nephew of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. The prince, who was a former Saudi ambassador to the United States, reportedly spent £42 million restoring and updating the house. In 2021 Glympton was sold to Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, for £120 million.
