Fulwell Park

  • House & Family History: Fulwell is noted for its early 20th century resident -- the exiled King Manoel of Portugal. In 1914 a garden party was held at Fulwell Lodge attended by Queen Alexandra, Princess Victoria, and the Empress Marie of Russia. Fulwell Park was sold in 1934 and later demolished to make way for a housing development. The four-ton safe that was used by King Manoel to hold the royal jewels at Fulwell Park is now located at St. Mary's Church, Hampton.
