House & Family History: Fonthill House (new) was designed by Detmar Blow and built in 1904. It incorporated a 17th century front from Berwick St. Leonards Manor House. The new Fonthill House was demolished in 1972.
Collections: Jan Brueghel the Elder's "A Village Market" was sold to a private party Christie's on April 18, 1985 for £486,000. Fonthill House had furnishings designed by Owens Jones for Alfred Morrison.
