Eastington Hall

  • House & Family History: During World War I the Tate Gallery moved some of its most important pieces of art to Eastington for safe storage. Radcliffe Hall wrote part of "The Well of Loneliness" at Eastington circa 1920. In 2017 the house, together with 341 acres, was listed for sale for £8 million.

    Collections: On May 21, 2019, Eastington's contents were auctioned by Chorley’s.

    Comments: Pevsner described Eastington Hall as “...a splendid piece of timber-framed architecture.”
