Dunkirk Manor (Dunkirk House)

  • House & Family History: John Cooper made his fortune in the Dunkirk woolen mills and purchased the 17th century Dunkirk Manor in the early 19th century, enlarging the house and adding the Georgian façade in 1810. Dunkirk Manor was listed for sale for £1.4 million in March of 2004.

    Collections: On July 23 & 24, 2024, the contents of Dunkirk Manor were auctioned by Chorley's auctioneers.
