Dromoland Castle

  • House & Family History: Dromoland was built in the 16th century in a Renaissance castle style. The Estate was once the seat of the O'Brien clan, direct descendants of the Irish King Brian Boru. The Castle was converted into a luxury hotel in 1962.

  • Garden & Outbuildings: In the early 20th century (circa 1907) the barbican-like entrance gates from Leamaneh Castle were moved to Dromoland by Lord Inchiquin.
