Built / Designed For: William Henry Dobie
House & Family History: Alexander II granted the lands of Dollarbeg to the monks of Dunfermline Abbey in the 13th century; the monks retained possession of the lands until 1587. The estate subsequently passed through many owners, until, in 1785, it became the property of the 4th Duke of Atholl. In the 1880s W.H. Dobie owned the estate; it was he who began construction of the current house in 1887.
