Comments: Derrynane is considered the best surviving example of an 18th century Irish big house of a Gaelic Catholic family.

  • Garden & Outbuildings: The house sits within a 320-acre park.

Chapel & Church: In 1844, to celebrate his release from prison, Daniel O'Connell built a new chapel modeled on the ruined monastery chapel of Ahamore Abbey.
