  • Earlier Houses: There have been buildings on, or near, the site of the current house for over 1,300 years old, including a Saxon monastery.

    House & Family History: Deans Court, according to local lore, was built in the 8th century for the abbess of Wimborne. The house became the deanery to Wimborne Minster in the mid-10th century; it was converted to a private home in the mid-16th century, after the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
