Dalmahoy House (Belvidere) (Belvedere)

    House & Family History: Dalmahoy is a three-story, seven-bay house designed by William Adam, Sr., for George Dalrymple, youngest son of the earl of Stair. The House is today a hotel.

  • Garden & Outbuildings: A fragment of the circa 1750 Stables is extant. In 2008 the National Trust for Scotland created a new high-definition film of the events of the Battle of Bannockburn to display at its heritage center in Stirling that commemorates the 1314 battle where Robert the Bruce's army defeated King Edward II's men. Shooting for many of the live action scenes of the film took place October 25 and 26, 2008 at Dalmahoy Country Estate.
