The House from "Morris's Views of Seats," 1860.
House & Family History: Between 1958 and 1976 the House served as Clifton Hall Girls' Grammar School. From the late 1970s until 2002, Nottingham Trent University, then Trent Polytechnic, used Clifton Hall for offices. In 2008 Clifton Hall received international attention when its owner, Anwar Rashid, vacated the House and stopped paying the mortgage because he believed it was severely haunted. Clifton Hall was repossessed by the bank, who listed it for sale for £2.75 million; as of November of 2019, the House was still listed for sale (for £2.5 million).
