House & Family History: Chenies is a mostly 15th century brick manor house that was a home of the Russell family. Henry VIII and Elizabeth I were both guests here in the 16th century.
Comments: Nikolaus Pevsner described Chenies as "Beautifully mellow under the trees by the church, and archaeologically a fascinating puzzle."
Garden & Outbuildings: There is a Tudor sunken garden and a fortified tower in the grounds.
