House & Family History: During World War II Chediston Hall was requisitioned for military use; the house was badly damaged by fire while being used to house Italian prisoners of war.
House Replaced By: A seven-bay, two-story red brick Chediston Hall was erected for James Aldous between 1969 and 1970 near the site of the demolished house.
