House & Family History: This amazing house was built by the architect Biagio Rebecca for Sir Bysshe Shelley, the famous poet's grandfather. The entrance facade is made of flint and stone in the Gothick style, with a symmetrical three-towered center. The garden facade was built of white stone and brick in the Greco-Palladian style. The interior is notable for its grand circular hall with a glass dome and spiral staircase.
