Cassillis House (Cassillis Castle)

  • House & Family History: Cassillis House was listed for sale in 2014 with a guide price of £5 million. In late 2019 the House, together with 309 acres, was listed for sale for £3,900,000.

    Collections: On July 4, 2009 some of the contents (567 lots) of Cassillis House were auctioned by the Edinburgh firm of Shapes. The star of the auction was a set of Louis XVI vermeil candelabra, made in 1789 by Henri Auguste, which sold for £100,604. The auction took place following the 2007 death of Mary, Marchioness of Ailsa, widow of the 7th Marquess.
