Boringdon Hall (Boringdon House)

  • Earlier Houses: There were monastic buildings on the site of the current house until 1539, when the estate was seized by Henry VIII as part of the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Elements of the monastic buildings were probably incorporated into the current house.

    House & Family History: The Parker family left Boringdon in 1750, when they moved their primary seat to Saltram House, though they continued to own the Boringdon Estate until the early 20th century.
