Birdcombe Court

  • House & Family History: Pevsner called the surviving four-storied porch tower of Birdcombe "an astonishing survival." The square and buttressed tower that is today the house originally stood as an independent building in front of the façade of the long-gone medieval house. The back doorway of the current House may be circa 13th century.
