Bellamont

  • Built / Designed For: Anthony Sykes

House & Family History: Bellamont is a new house that was built in 1996 by Anthony Sykes (a retired property developer) based on the footprint of the nearby late 18th century West Park, Damerham, on the Dorset/Hampshire border. West Park, which was owned by Sykes's grandfather, was demolished after World War II. Five generations of the Coote family, including Sir Eyre Coote, commander-in-chief of India in the 1770s, have lived at Bellamont.
