From the Garden
Built / Designed For: Sir Andrew Noble
House & Family History: Commissioned by Sir Andrew Noble, Ardkinglas was built in 1907 of green granite topped with Caithness slate. Lorimer designed everything, right down to the electrical fittings and door furniture, all of which are still in place today. He was allowed a free hand, and the result is a large baronial style mansion of over 80 rooms set in its own gardens.
