Earlier Houses: There was a bishop's house on the site of the current house for over 900 years.
House & Family History: From the late 18th century until 1885 Ardbraccan House was the residence of the lord bishop of Meath (Church of Ireland). In the late 19th century the house was sold by the Church of Ireland and it has been a private home ever since. In 2013 Charles Noell III, who co-founded JMI Equity in Baltimore, Maryland, purchased Ardbraccan House and 120 acres for €4.9 million. In 2026 Noell sold the house, together with 250 acres, for €10 million.
