Alfoxton Park

  • House & Family History: William and Dorothy Wordsworth lived at Alfoxton between July 1797 and June 1798. Dorothy began her journal here in January 1798, but stopped it two months later (she started the journal again when they moved to the Lake District). For many years the House was the Alfoxton Park Hotel. It is today privately owned and divided into flats.
