House & Family History: Beginning in 1935, Acklam was home to a number of schools: Acklam Hall School, Acklam High School, Kings Manor School, and, most recently, Middlesbrough College, who vacated the house in 2008. Acklam Hall reopened in 2016 as an event venue.
