House & Family History: The 12th century tower house of Aberdour makes it one of the oldest castles in Scotland (in later centuries the Medieval core was expanded and converted into a country house). In 1325 Robert the Bruce granted Aberdour to his nephew, Thomas Randolph, Earl of Moray.
