North Perrott Manor House

  • Earlier Houses: The current house replaced an earlier manor house that stood to the northeast of the church.

    House & Family History: North Perrott Manor House was built in 1876 by T.H. Wyatt for P.M. Hoskyns in a late 16th century style, replacing an earlier manor house that had been damaged by fire. North Perrott was occupied by the Hoskyns family until 1940, when the Feltonfleet School in Surrey was evacuated to the House, leaving in early 1945. Later in 1945 Major Hoskyns leased the House to Perrott Hill School, started in 1946 by Bill Grundy, one of the Feltonfleet School staff.
