Zeals House

  • Earlier Houses: There was a 14th century moated house on the site, parts of which were incorporated into the current house.

House & Family History: During World War II large parts of the Zeals Estate served as an air force base and the house became a mess for RAF officers. Between 1947 and 1956 the house was a boys' school. After the Troyte-Chafyn-Grove family sold up in 1968, Zeals went through a number of owners. The Zeals Estate was listed for sale for £3,750,000 in 2015. In 2021 the house, together with 58 acres, was listed for sale for £5.5 million.
