Weetwood Hall (Wapentake)

    House & Family History: During World War I the government took over Weetwood and used the house as a convalescent hospital for officers. In 1919 Sir Hickman Beckett Bacon sold the Weetwood Hall Estate to Leeds University for use as a hall of residence, a purpose it served until the 1980s. The house was converted into a hotel in 1993.
