Thurland Castle

  • House & Family History: The Medieval house (the earliest elements are 14th century) was ruined in 1643 during the Civil War. Thurland Castle was restored in the early 19th century by Jeffry Wyatville, but was gutted by fire in 1876 and rebuilt in the 1880s.
