Stone Castle

  • House & Family History: The castle was built on the site where William the Conqueror signed a treaty with the men of Kent in 1067. Cardinal Wolsey supposedly spent the night here in 1527 on his way to Calais. During World War II the Royal Air Force occupied Stone Castle.
