House & Family History: Newlands was a two-story Georgian house of nine bays with single-story wings and an Ionic porch. In the 18th century it was the seat of Arthur Wolfe, MP, later lord chief justice of the King's Bench. Wolfe helped save Wolfe Tone from the gallows in 1794. Newlands was demolished in the 20th century.
