House & Family History: Kirkdale was built in a Georgian style in 1906 with interiors copied from various houses built in 1615. The House was home to St. Martin's School until 2001, when the school vacated, after which permission was received to turn the House back to a private residence. It was listed for sale for £1.5 million in November 2001.
