House & Family History: Ambrose Rookwood, son of the builder of Coldham, was involved in the Gunpowder Plot; he was executed for his involvement in 1605. There are two chapels and several priest holes at Coldham (the Rookwoods were noted Roman Catholics).
Chapel & Church: The 1770s Roman Catholic Chapel is in the Strawberry Hill Gothick style.
