Chipstead Place (Chepsted Place)

    Built / Designed For: William Emerton

    House & Family History: Johannes Kip engraved one of his famous bird's eye view of the Chipstead Place Estate circa 1719 for "History of Kent." During World War I Chipstead Place became a hospital for wounded soldiers. The house was demolished in 1932 and replaced by a housing estate.

    Collections: The contents were sold in 1931.
