Brodie Castle

  • House & Family History: King Malcom IV endowed the Brodie family with their land in 1160. The oldest part of the House, the Z-plan section, dates from the 16th century.

    Collections: The paintings collection at Brodie Castle includes 17th century Dutch, 18th and early 19th century English watercolors, as well as the work of the Scottish Colorists. Christie's negotiated the National Trust for Scotland's purchase of the contents in 1980.
