Brereton Hall

    Collections: A 1579 oil on panel portrait of Sir William Brereton by an unknown artist is today in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts (see photo in "Images" section). The portrait is particularly noted for the cameo of Queen Elizabeth I that Sir William wears in his cap.
